IIT JEE to be conducted again
HRD Minister should take the responsibility and should suspend JAB and resign himself. More than 20 crores have been spent on conducting the IIT JEE examination and this money has gone wasted just because of the carelessness of the JAB. The entire JAB should be suspended and appropriate charges should be framed against the people who are responsible for this. At this juncture the conducting JEE again is the only option

yes it shud b re conducted
ReplyDeleteit should be reconducted any how
ReplyDeleteIITs r playing wid student's future of which they dont hv any right.
ReplyDeletethe corrective measures given are also not satisfactory.
we all must unite n take a step together to warn the authorities.
just check out my blogs too @ jishankotangale.webs.com
an exam such as the jee cannot be reconducted.....corrective measures can be adopted to balance the opportunities for all the students in a fair manner....there are other options. this is not the last.
ReplyDeleteiit's have done a grave mistake coz of which the students who had toiled for 2 yrs preparing for it suffered gravely..... therefore jee must be reconducted...
ReplyDeleteexams like jee are not easy to conduct . corrective measures have been taken which are quite appropriate.
ReplyDeleteno there is no need to re-conduct it again the error was told by the invigilator in the examination hall and all students understood it and rectified it.
ReplyDeleteIts quite foolish to ask for a retest. Those asking for retest are sadists. And most of the students asking for retest are those who won't even get 60% marks in boards. Secondly, if students from hindi medium simply left the question thinking that they are simply of 2 marks, then they could have attempted other questions also....match the column questions were infact more tougher. Also it will take atleast 2 months before new JEE and its results are declared. By that time admissions of most colleges will be over and students won't have an option of keeping a safety school...THERE IS NO NEED FOR A NEW JEE.
ReplyDeleteThe students who are demanding a retest have not done well in the exam and just want an unfair 2nd chance.
ReplyDeleteThe Super 30 chief, i read somewhere, is demanding a re test, is just bothered about his reputation.
The corrective measure for english students are more than enough. They r very fair measures. No arguments.
For the hindi students...even if they say that they suffered due to the marks problem, then they could have easily attempted other questions and scored handsomely in them.
On the other hand, for those whose question papers were not printed properly, and their marks will be appropriately scaled, I can say that they are getting "free marks". Argue this.
JEE should not be reconducted and it's not child's play too.
PS: If any of u think after reading the last sentence that it has happened before in 1997, then please go and look up why it was re-conducted, and how different were the circumstances then and now.
this is very common because of 50% of the group are from ill trained (cota).so this errors are expected.
ReplyDeleteno way a re exam should be conducted.....conducting jee is an uphill task...these small mistakes can be rectified and the result can be announced in a fair manner....
ReplyDeletemost unfortunate is that students with english versions are also vouching for a retest to bag an unfair second chance.their evil aspirations should not be granted.
ReplyDeletesome leaders like nitish kumar is behaving like he has given the test.those who wants the retest are crazy people the corrective measures are fair enough.and the people who have given the hindi version if they have not seen the previous years paper then only they can think of that kind of number division.and if any one have not seen the previous years jee paper they dont have the right to get selected in the iit's.
ReplyDeleteIt is common phenomena that if some thing leads for a long time it looses its concentration on its work . This too happened with IITS in India. Many frustrate IItians are committing crimes and spoiling society because the internal management of IITs are self proud and arrogant . What could spoil leaders give to the country?
ReplyDeleteAgain regarding JEE Exam. This year’s exam made a history of errors. 4.72 Lacs students have been cheated by well planned manner. A particular coaching center of Chennai got special privilege by this errors . IIts as the name suggests far ahead of technology the students have to suffer a lot for result due to substandard quality of host server , poor proof reading and lake of coordination caused multiple errors in JEE 2010.
So this exam should be conducted again otherwise entrants of this institute of this year will treated as ‘Mukaddar ke sikandar’ rather than ‘Idiots`.
Sincerely an Indian
C.A. Manoj Agrawal
getting into iits is not everything... i hav seen that even iitians are unemployed today... we all must remember one thing: "it is not the institute who is responsible for ones success... it is the student who makes the difference..." imagine what would happen if intelligent students leave the option of iits and a big group of students who dont like studies enter this institute.... the reputatuion of the iits will definitely fall.... iits r nothing.. its u who is responsible for the difference.. so if u think u r intelligent nd r not getting selected because of the mistakes in the question paper, dont be depressed.. think like iits is losing someting important... nd it will suffer one day for that... cheer up!! there r many more colleges in india...
ReplyDeleteThere is no need for retest. Again preparing for IIT is a very diificult task. These errors are monor one and just ignore
ReplyDeletemukkadar ka sikandar....good joke dude.....but be informed urselves that it will atmost make a difference of 5 marks if JEE is held again....and criminals and all.....i think u r crazy
ReplyDeleteWhy are the 1072 people(as of now) who have voted in favour of a re exam (on this site) NOT commenting or putting down their arguments here!
ReplyDeleteI can bet my money that out of those 1072, almost 90% are voting for an unfair second chance. Stupid and Crazy.

ReplyDeleteWell reconducting is surely not an option. In my view the following two steps should definitely be taken
ReplyDelete1. A 3 day portal should be opened whereby every candidate who had appeared for the IITJEE can select the choice in which they want their answer sheet to be checked. The default way of checking should be according to the serial numbers.
If a candidate wants his/her answer sheet to be checked according to the letter heads, he should visit the portal and specify so. Clearly, the process will not be cumbersome and will be just and fair.
2. The proper clarification regarding partial marks in the multiple answers questions should be that if and only if the candidate has marked say 2 out of 3 the three correct options and NONE of the incorrect options then he should be awarded partial marks.
For example if the correct answer is ABD then a candidate who has marked either A, B, D, AB, AD, BD should be given partial marks and not one who has marked C, AC, BC, CD, ABCD, ACD, ABC. Clearly the process is impartial and justified. I think this is what they meant but havent been able to explain yet.
Cheers. A sincere request to all of you to think logically and not vote for a re-examination just because the exam went bad from your end or you want a slick second chance.

Karan Kumar
No ,iitjee shouldnt be reconducted....i just want to say that some frustrated student just want to shine their blind luck.I personally feels that those students who cannt understand such minor errors ,even with the help of invigilators r nt the persons who deserved for such prestigious institutes,so let the right persons to go ahead.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Aru. A person with a normal intelligence level as far as the english version of the paper is concerned should have been able to understand and act accordingly since the errors were clarified in all examination centres.
ReplyDeleteiit jee 2010 should be re-conducted . use of crrective measures is totally illogical . In jee there should not be any provision for partial marking, there should be provision for negative marking to differentiate between hard-working student and average student.
